These flowers are placed in my favorite vase, a leaded vase that has turned blue over the years because it has been placed in the sun. It works well in the painting, but in real life the sap from the daffodils would shorten the life of the tulips. If you were to put the types of flowers together in a vase, you would see what I mean.
