"Snake Plant" or "Mother-In-Law's Tongue"

$575.00

acrylic on canvas, 18” x 24”, 2025, Chilliwack, BC

The snake plant is an allegorical representation of myself as an artist. I have painted it many times as it has grown taller, and I will paint it again in the future. As the plant grows, so do I as an artist. You can see that in Rembrant’s self-portraits, as he grew older he developed Parkinson’s Disease, and his style changed into what he is remembered for.
