The second painting in a diptych of prairie canvases, this one is of an old, abandoned homestead. I remember as a child I would run out onto the prairies and sketch abandoned homes in pen and ink. Left slightly unfinished, the two paintings together offer a fresh look at life long ago on the frontier.
