acrylic on canvas, 24” x 30”, 2024, Chilliwack, BC
This painting is an honest reflection of what happens when a Howitzer goes off, the flash of the muzzle, and the rising smoke flows through the air. The only thing missing is the overwhelming, acrid smell of gunpowder! I was around the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery as a medic in the Canadian Armed Forces.
