"Grain Elevators, Blackie, AB"

$825.00

acrylic on canvas, 24” x 36”, 2026, Chilliwack, BC

These grain elevators towered over the small prairie village of Blackie, Alberta, a hub of activity and bustling market for farmer’s grain. This now hamlet was once a city in the early 1900’s, but has now become pretty much a ghost town compared to it’s roaring ‘20’s. Blackie is the village where the Toronto-born artist, Dave Weirmeir, grew up.
