acrylic on canvas, 24” x 30”, 2026, Chilliwack, BC
Crescent Lake Church was built on Saskatchewan’s open prairie in 1917. It is situated near the town of Melville, east of the ghost town of Divide. The church was abandoned by its Anglican congregation in 1971. I tried something new in this series of four paintings by attempting to make them look like they were kissed by the sun.
